Special cards

I made these cards for some special kids that I miss dearly. They were some of my daycare kids and haven't seen them in a while and just wanted them to know that I miss them.

Sending Snow Love

This card was inspired by the sketch challenge found on Splitcoast Stampers - SC368.
I used Sweet n Sassy digi image - Bundled Up Snowman and Sending Love sentiment from Christmas Tags clear stamp set.  I colored the image with Copic markers RV00, E93, and G12; and mounted the image with SU dimensionals.  I added White Opal Liquid Pearl to the snowman because I wanted him to glisten!  I used Little Yellow Bicycle dp Snowy Window, Ski Sweater, and Mocha Java Sweater.  From SU I used Silver Glimmer paper, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip card stock.  I rounded the edges of the sentiment and the mat with SU corner rounder.  I added Light Blue Liquid Pearl to the corner.  I LOVED this sketch and plan on using it again!!!

Obi Moose Kenobi

I ordered this stamp because I wanted to make some cards for a DEAR SWEET friend of mine.  She is such a strong young lady and has a great testimony at our Church.  She was diagnosed with cancer about 2 years ago.  December marked a year since her last chemo treatment!  16 years old with cancer.....I can't even imagine!  Approximately a month after her last treatment my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer.  It's different for an adult than a teenager!  Your life changes no matter your age but when faced with a illness that could potentially take your life....you grow up fast!  Where do you fit in after that?!  You've faced one of the scariest things ever, you have had to grow up WAY too fast.  You are too young to fit in with the adults, yet your too old to fit in with people your age.  I can't even imagine, all I know is she is a SPECIAL young lady.  She is inspiration to many!  I wanted to do something to show her that I care!  She LOVES Star Wars so I wanted to find a stamp to make some cards for her.  Her mom says that I need to stop encouraging her obsession with Star Wars but I can NOT help it!  Anyway, I started with these 2 cards and can hardly wait to do more!
I used SU chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock.  The tan card stock is from Michaels.  Spellbinders Shapabilities Fancy Tags Twois what I mounted the sentiment on and I used the polka dot Sizzix embossing folderto add a little deco to the card.  I added SU Early Espresso twine to the top of the card.  I colored the Obi Moose Kenobi image from Riley and Company with Copic markers E79, E25, B02, Y26.  I chose 2 quotes from Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars to add as sentiments for the cards!  I pray that she will use these cards and not hoard them because she loves them!  I DO intend on making more for her!!

Love you Reina!  And I would love to make your Star Wars wedding invitations for your Star Wars wedding (your mom is so gonna kill me)  Love you girl and I am very proud of the strong young woman you have become!  Keep your head up and keep God #1!  You are an inspiration!!!
